Have you ever felt ashamed or guilty for believing a lie?
The other day I was taken over with sadness as I realized that I had been believing a lie. And as I wept in the presence of the Lord, I cried out to God and said, “Lord, I feel guilty for believing this lie, I’m so sorry, I’m so ashamed!!”
Suddenly, I felt the Lord’s justice when He said, “Why should you feel guilty when the enemy lies to you? He is the one who has come with the lies, and I am a God of justice. He has been defeated and I will rescue you from the lies with the truth. This too is what I’ve sent my son to redeem you from.”
It’s not your fault that you’ve been lied to.
It’s not your fault that you are being tormented by a lie.
God sees the injustice in that! The enemy violates us and trespasses against us.
His goal is to confuse us. To get us to have false-guilt, doubt and shame.
These emotions that rise up in our soul threaten to take our joy and even paralyze us with fear.
Be encouraged. It’s not your fault when the devil lies to you.
Those tormenting spirits will have their day in court. God is on your side. He sees the injustice in all of this torment. You do not deserve to be tormented by a lying spirit.
So in the name of Jesus I declare you free from the bondage of shame. Be released from any false-guilt now, in the name of Yeshua our Messiah.
Once you come to understand that you’ve been lied to, your best response should be to believe the truth and give God thanks for it.
To God be all the glory! He deserves a Happy you.
